1 Month and going strong....

Today is a very important day in our little family...today markes one month since Jimmy has quit drinking Diet Coke. For anyone who knows Jimmy, you know this is amazing! Not a day has gone by in our almost 3 year relationship when he did not drink at least (no exaggeration) two 64 oz. at work and polished off a 12 pack at night, this is a normal day...it doesn't even begin to descibe what I have seen him polish off in a 8 hour trip down the Salt River.

I believe the problem started at a very young age, he tells many stories of trips to Circle K with his father after church for a biggie Diet Coke, and there are mulitple home movies of him as a child being THE BEVERAGE SUPER HERO, taking down diet coke in a flash! I have yet been to a family party that someone wasn't drinking this beloved beverage.

Many of our finacial conversations, when we are trying to set up a buget, include a diet coke fund. I have been encouraging for a very long time to slow down, and cut back. Now this is not to say that I don't enjoy a Diet Coke from time to time. But I wouldn't give up an arm for this "sweet lushes nectur" as it has been refered to in our little family. Needless to say when I approached Jimmy with a plan to slim down, get healthy, stop drinking diet coke, and set some positive examples for Rowdy and any other children we have, he wasn't jumping up and down. But he finally agreed to take on this new challenge.
I am so proud of him today! He has been Diet Coke free for one month! JIMMY YOU ROCK! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! Congratulations!

Let the building begin!

Today we drove out to our new house to see if they had started building, and they had! Sweet! All of our piping looked like it was in, and lot's of men in hard hats where walking around looking busy.

They also told us today that the expected finishing date would be sometime in May...that is a month early. We also went over cost etc, again today and once again I got to watch Jimmy turn white and look like he was going to hurl :) We are getting really excited to finally be homeowners. This is a scary and awesome time in our lives and we are just glad that we have had the chance to do this.

Other then this worker bee we feel really great about everything!

It worked....

Sweet, I have finally figured out how to do pictures...that is a big step in the blogging world! Now the only trouble is the only pictures I have are old, do to the fact that everything I own is in storage...I am having a hard time finding the "cord" thingy to download all of the new pictures I am taking. I will continue my search and hopefully I can get some recent pictures up. Until then this is a picture of my little Rowdy about 3 monthds ago...

So I have no idea what I am doing on the Blog, so I have decided to try and figure out how to get some picures on my boring page...and maybe even some music if this works :) here goes nothin!

Happy Birthday Buddy!

Today is my nephew Coltons birthday, he is 11 years old and the first grandchild in our small family. I just wanted to pay tribute to him, and the awesome young man that he is becoming! I am so proud that he is my nephew, he has the most tender loving heart of any kid I have ever met...and I know that he will have that same loveing spirit about him as an adult. Colton has always had a huge chunk of my heart, and I have loved him like my own from day one.
Colton is the only other boy besides Rowdy in our family, and I am so thankful that he is setting such great examples for Rowdy to follow, and I know that he will continue to be someone that my kids will look up to. He is so kind, loving and fun with Rowdy and I know even though they have a big age difference that he will always be a great friend to him and any others that come into our family.
We have all been blessed to have him in our lifes, and I love him to peices! Happy Birthday Buddy...

Rowdy is Awesome!

Well I would like to start this blog by saying I have been so lucky to be blessed with such an awesome little boy! This last week has been a very exciting week as a mother, after a ton of threatening to do so...Rowdy has finally started to crawl! And if that wasn't enough, he crawled over to his toy box and pulled himself up to a standing position, I don't think I have ever been that thrilled in my life! It's amazing watching him grow and learn, I have been absolutely floored at how much joy I have had being a mother! I love that our Saturday nights now consist of watching Rowdy crawl around, flirt with himself in the mirror (personal favorite) and play patty cake. It's been an absolute pleasure, and I am so thankful I have had the chance to raise him...I love him, love him, love him, and I can't get enough :)

Keep up...Slow poke!

Well, this last month of my life has been so crazy busy I find myself constantly trying to keep up! Not only did December bring Christmas and hoiliday joy for us it also brought...our two year anniversary, a huge move out of our first appartment, we purchased our first house, and our sweet little Rowdy got crup! So inbetween doctor vistits, packing all of our junk, nursing Rowdy back to health and trying to keep Jimmy feed (no small task I might add :) I never found time to get on the computer! Now that I have there isn't much else to say...I hope everyone had a great Christmas and that everyones first week of the year went by smoothly! I am going to go back to trying to keep up!
