Bed Bath and Beyond a good find...

Bed, Bath, and Beyond
So Saturday I am cleaning out my purse/diaper bag, which is no small task I might add..when I came across a Bed Bath and Beyond gift card, which by the look of it was a wedding gift for Jimmy and I...(if that tells you how often I mill threw my wallet)... I tossed it in my "shred" pile and moved on. A while later Rowdy came walking down the hall with it in his hand, he must of snagged it from my pile when I wasn't looking.
I got thinking about it and decided that I should call and make sure I didn't have a balance left on it, seeing how I wasn't really sure where this little gem has been. So I called and sure enough it had $50.00 bucks on it just needing to be spent! Now 50 bucks isn't a huge deal but when you find something like this unexpectedly it is "Oh So Sweet"...I jumped in my car, called a girlfriend of mine and we where at BBandB in a matter of min. ready to spend this little treasure! I didn't really need anything so I just bought little odds and ends and fun stuff I would normally pass up! I have decided I am going to dig threw my purse more often!!!!! And a big thank you to whom ever gave us this wonderful gift!!!

NOT so fun to be 1

Photobucket

My poor little Rowdy turned one on April 3rd, and since then has had maybe the worst 2 weeks ever!
It all started 2 days after his birthday, it was Saturday morning and we where having pancakes with Grandma and Grandpa, when Rowdy crawled over and grabbed the pilot light on their fire place.
He spend the weekend in the Phoenix Burn and Truama Center where they took great care of him. He has 3rd degree burns on 3 of his fingers, and has lost most of the skin on his index finger...we are just so happy that he was able to come home with all 10 of his little fingers. But it has been so hard to watch him in pain, he has a ton of healing to do but everyday it gets a little better.
Jimmy and I are getting really good at changing his "dressing" on his hand. I have even made it threw a few changings without crying.
Tuesday morning we took him up to the burn clinic to see the doctor, when truma number 2 started! On our way up Rowdy started throwing up, by Tuesday night he had a tempeture of 102.7 and we ended up taking him to a pediatic Urgent Care, only to find out that he has the stomach flu!
He has had a high temp. now for a couple of days, and isn't able to keep any of his food down at all. Our biggest problem is he keep throwing up on his hand, that can't get wet!
Yesterday I took him to his doctor and we where waiting for him to come check him, when I decided it was time to have a little talk with him. Our conversation went something like this...

"Rowdy your one years old now welcome to reality! Life isn't about laying around drinking formula, and pooping your pants all day, things are going to be ruff, it's how you deal with it that counts!"

And just so everyone knows he is dealing with everything amazingly! He is much much stronger then his mommy! But together we are all dealing with this truma...we are just so thankful for everyone who has been praying for him, and thinking of us!

Happy Birthday Rowdy!

Photobucket
Today is Rowdys 1st Birthday! I can't believe he has been here for a full year already, it's amazing how fast this year has flown by. Rowdy is the best thing that has happened to Jimmy and I and we are so blessed to have him in our little family! He is the coolest baby ever, and is so pleasant...he has great social skills and loves to do tricks. Here are a few things we love about Rowdy...
He is so easy going, he is a trooper and is always down to do whatever Jimmy and I have planned. And he always does it with such a good attitude.
His smile, he has the most contagious smile ever, along with his giggle it's impossible to ever get mad at him because his little personality just makes you want to love on him!
He loves a good game, at night when we put him down we say a prayer with him, and the entire time we are trying to be reverent he is playing peek-a-boo and laughing his guts out!
His spectacular appetite, he is such a good little eater. I can call his name 20 times and he will never look over until I say "Rowdy how about bottle" and he will look over everytime.
The way he waves bye bye it is the dang cutest thing you have ever seen. He loves to go out places and wave bye bye to anyone walking past us, or sitting close to us.
This list could go on forever, I adore everything about him and I feel so blessed to have him in my home. He is my best little buddy! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROWDY, MOMMY AND DADDY LOVE YOU!

Happy Birthday Scud!!!

Today is my dads birthday and I just wanted to let everyone know what an awesome guy he is... I got the pleasure of being raised by wonderful parents. My dad has been someone I have always looked up to, not just because he is 6'8'', but because he is such a wonderful example of what kind of person I have always wanted to be.

Top Ten Reasons I love my dad!!!

1.His sense of humor, he is the funniest person I know...
2.His guidence, I have not always been smart enough to listen...but he always has great advice that I know comes from the heart...
3.His understanding, I have not made all the right desicions in my life, but my dad has never turned his back on me...
4. His testimony, he loves the lord and the gospel and I have NEVER questioned that.
5. His relentless teasing, I am sure I need years of therepy! :)
6. His generosity, I have never gone with out anything I have needed...or wanted!
7. His love of sports...the man still gets "taped up" for every game! I have never been a fan of any sports but I always have a warm comfortable feeling when sports are on as back ground noise because it reminds me of him.
8. His sense of style, he has never been a flip flop kind of guy, he always has expensive nice things to wear and he always looks his best! I have never in 23 years seen him leave the house or do anything before he is showered and cleaned up!
9. His grandparenting skills, he is such a wonderful grandpa, Rowdy loves him and he truly loves his grandchildren!
10. His Hair, I am so thankful that I take after him if for nothing else I have thick hair that grows like a weed thanks to him!

I could think of hundreds of more things I love about him, he is a wonderful guy, I am so thankful he is my dad...I LOVE YOU DAD, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

One more favorite...
His Pride, he won't take the senior discount anywhere, and it does not madder how mad it makes my mom, he simply "forgets" to mention it anytime it could be used in his advantage! :)

What a guy!!!

What a deal.....

So last night I am doing my daily "craigslist" browse, where I look threw tons of things people are selling. Normally the search consist of laughing at peoples junk they have posted and want large sums of money for, or oohing and ahhing at the "good stuff" I could never afford.
But last night was different, although I do a daily search...I have never actually bought anything ( come to think of it nothing I have ever listed sold either, why I have become so involved with this site I will never know) but that's besides the point. Last night I came across a posting for a brand spankin new plush recliner, that heats up,vibrates, has two cup holders and a spot for the remote...
Now I have always been skeptical of recliners, expecially the tricked out... bells and whisels type. Mainly because I have never come across one that is being used and actually works still. But my husbend loves them, he always wants to go and try them out at the lazy boy store and we have gone to all of the stores with in resonable driving distance that have this comfy chairs so he can test them out, and try and talk me into one of these "treasures" .
Now back to last nights post, the listing did not include pictures, but it did include there smokin hot price! So I called...
The cutest, oldest sounding lady answered the phone and reported that it was a brand new delux model that she had won playing bingo, but that the chair was simple to big for her and she felt like it was trying to swallow her.
The odd part of the conversation is when I asked what color it was, she descibed it as "well honey I would call the color Tacky" which I thought was a weird way to "sell" the chair. But because by now Jimmy was involved...we loaded up and went to go check it out.
When we arrived at the house to my delight the recliner was a warm brown, that wasnt tacky at all. Infact, I was pleasently surprised.
We each took it for a spin, and it was the most comfortable chair I have ever sat in. We simply couldn't leave it there and for the price it was one heck of a deal. I must say the hours I have spent on Craigslist have finally payed off, and Jimmy has never been so stinky HAPPY with his long awaited recliner!!!!
